Bride and Groom FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions)

Can I upgrade my package?
Certainly! Adding more to your package is a great way of making our special day even more enjoyable. You can upgrade by adding a welcome reception for your guests, and you can customize your event anyway you so desire. Speak with your wedding coordinator for further details.

Do you have special guest room rates for persons attending?
Sure. We offer discounted rates for groups that require a minimum of 10 rooms.

When do I have to select my menu?
We require that you advise us of your menu selection at least 30 days prior to your very special event, to ensure that all goes as according to plan.

When do I have to give my final numbers?
We require your final numbers at least 14 working days prior to your special event. Therefore, the catered number can not decrease at this point and we will be prepared to cater for a maximum of 5 additional persons at your event if necessary.

What times can I have my ceremony?
Wedding ceremonies can be held between the hours of 11:00am to 5:00pm. Kindly contact our Wedding Coordinator for available dates and times.

What linens, cutlery, and crockery do you provide?
We guarantee standard white napkins and table cloth, all cutlery and crockery for your event. However, colored napkins, table cloths and overlays can be obtained for you at an additional charge. We recommend that you take special utensils such as your cake knife as this is not provided.

What else does the hotel supply in the package?
In addition to package chosen, we supply furnishings such as tables and chairs.

Can I serve my wedding cake for dessert?
Yes. The resort will assist with the serving of the wedding cake as dessert. However, a separate cake (pre-sliced) for the number of persons guaranteed must be provided 24 hours prior to the event date.

When do we receive our Marriage certificate?
It takes 6 to 8 weeks after your wedding ceremony for you to receive your wedding certificate. However, we sill send it you via express courier service which is already included in your wedding package.

Is there a fee to have welcome amenities delivered to our guest rooms?
Yes a charge of US$3 per delivery may apply. Please contact your Wedding Coordinator for further details.

Can we send items directly to the hotel for our event?
Yes. However, we require that you advise us in advance and ensure that the package is consigned to you and not the hotel in the event that items attract duty charges.

What additional services do you provide?
Holiday Inn Resort Montego Bay offers a wide variety of services such as a variety of additional services to enhance your function (e.g. decorations), tours, baby sitting services and business services among others.

Billing & Payment Terms

Advance deposits/payments
Please note that a non-refundable US$300 deposit is required to confirm all wedding dates and time. For deposits toward receptions a proposal will be done followed by a contract, which will display a payment schedule. We ask that clients adhere to the payment schedule to avoid cancellations or relocation of weddings. Remaining balance 14 working days prior to the event.

Additional charges incurred/requested 100% same day.
